Bmi-1基因与肿瘤关系研究进展

摘要:
原癌基因Bmi-1属于转录抑制因子Polycomb(PcG)家族,通常作用于INK4a/ARF基因位点而影响细胞增殖及衰老。研究表明,多种成体干细胞和肿瘤干细胞的自我更新及增殖活性的维持也需要Bmi-1基因。Bmi-1基因的表达水平还与肿瘤的侵袭、转移、预后及复发有关,因而有望成为一种新的肿瘤分子标志物。

Abstract:
Bmi-1, a putative oncogene, belongs to the polycomb group family of transcriptional regulators, which usually affects cell proliferation and insenecence through suppress of the INK4a/ARF locus. It not only supports the proliferation of several adult stem cells and tumor stem cells but also is required for the self-renewal ability of them. Recently researches have indicated that the expression level of Bmi-1 is positively correlated to malignant tumor invasion, distant metastasis, prognosis and recurrence. It has prospective potential to be a valuable tumor molecule marker.
