Abstract: |
[Objective]To discuss the relationships between VEGF-C expression, lymphatic metastasis and clinical pathologic characteristics.[Methods]Divide the 64 case of colon cancer tissue into several groups according to lymphatic metastasis, sex, age, tumour size and TNM stages, immunohistochemistry PV-9000 two steps method was performed to measure the situation of VEGF-C expression , apply chi-square test and linear correlation to do statistics processing.[Results]The percentage of positive VEGF-C is 57.8% in colon cancer organization; In lymphatic metastasis positive group VEGF-C positive expression with (80%) is significantly higher than that of lymphatic metastasis negative group (38.2%) (P <0.01); The VEGF-C expression did not show any correlation with sex, age, and tumour size (r=0.008,0.025,0.013,P> 0.05), but show significant correlation with TNM stages (r=0.447,P<0.01), as the TNM stages increasing, the VEGF-C positive expression is significantly higher.[Conclusions]Colon cancer could express VEGF-C, and influence lymphatic metastasis in colon cancer. The present results suggested that the patients with increased expression of VEGF-C without lymphatic metastasis have strong tendency of lymphatic metastasis. |
