Abstract: |
Objective To investigate the relationship of biliary cholesterol concentration and cholesterol cholecystokinin-A receptor expression in chronic calculous cholecystitis. Methods The biliary cholesterol concentration in the gallbladder of4 cases were tested by biochemistry and cholesterol cholecystokinin-A receptor expression in the gallbladder mucosa of4 cases were detected by immunohistochemistry. Results The cholesterol cholecystokinin-A receptor (CCK-AR) expression in the gallbladder mucosa of4 cases showed positive expression,in which weak positive3 cases, moderate positive 9 cases, and strong positive2 cases.Bile cholesterol concentration in the weak positive group was (144±51) mmol/L,in the moderate positive group was (168±41) mmol/ L,and in the strong positive group was (96±19) mmol/L.The CCK-AR expression and biliary cholesterol concentration showed negative correlation (r=-0.702,P=0.000).Conclusion The bile cholesterol concentration may be used as potential indicators of CCK-AR expression in chronic calculous cholecystitis, providing a theoretical basis for further study of the gallbladder dynamics. |
