Abstract: |
[Objective] To investigate the expressions of P16, CDK4, cyclinD1 and the clinical significance of their expression in breast carcinoma. [Methods] The expressions of P16, CK4 and cyclinD1 were detected by immunohistochemistry in 32 cases of paraffin-embedded breast carcinoma tissues. Then, the positive rates of P16, CK4 and cyclinD1 were compared with the clinical pathological markers. [Results] The positive rates of P16 and CDK4 among the gradeⅠ, Ⅱand Ⅲ showed significant difference (P<0.05),indicating that the positive rate of P16 decreased along with the increase of the grade. The expression of P16 and CDK4 in the breast carcinoma didn’t show any significant relation to the patient age, tumor size, lymphatic metastasis and the presence or absence of ER, PR. The cyclinD1-positive rates in the breast carcinomas ascended as the grade increasing although they didn’t show significant difference among the gradeⅠ, Ⅱand Ⅲ(P>0.05). [Conclusions] The underexpression of P16 and overexpression of CK4, cyclinD1 may play a role in the initiation and development of breast carcinomas. |
