Abstract: |
To observe the changes of intestinal b arrier after ischemi a-reperfusion injury (I/R) in mice and rats. [Methods] 10 mice of Kunming spec ie s and 16 rats of SD species were divided randomly into 2 groups: control group a nd I/R group. There are 5 mice and 8 rats in each group. The mice's jejumum and colon were exenterated and made into slides, and their morphological changes wer e observed under light and electrical microscopes. The bacterial translocation r ates of mesenteric lymph nods(MLN) were detected after 48 hours culture of rats' MLN. [Results] Compared to control group, obvious morphological changes were o bserved in jejunum, but not in colon, under LM in I/R group: the intestinal wall became thinner, the intestinal villi grew shorter and the interspace between the villi became wider, and parts of the intestinal villi underwent necrosis and b roke off, also there were congestion and hemorrhage in lamina propria. No distinct changes of tight junction were observed under EM in jejunum and colon after I /R. The bacterial translocation rates of MLN is 5/8 in I/R group and 1/8 in cont rol group(P<0.05). [Conclusion] Ischemia-reperfusion injury induces inte stinal mucosal damage and bacterial translocation in mice and rats. |
