Abstract: |
In order to investigate the relationship of ER and PR content changes in target tissues (placenta, fetal membrane and lower part of uterus)and prolonged pregnancy,ER and PR contents of placenta, fetal membrane and lower part of uterus in 10 prolonged pregnancy women were measured by immunohistochemical method and 10 full-term pregnancy women as control. ER content in placenta of prolonged pregnancy is lower than control group(χ2=6.67,P<0.01). However, comparing with control group, ER content in fetal membrane and lower part of uterus of prolonged pregnancy has no significant difference. PR content in two groups has no significant difference. The ER/PR in placenta and fetal membrane of prolonged pregnancy are lower than control(t=2.38, P<0.05; t=2.26, P<0.05). The result shows that ER and PR content changes in placenta and fetal membrane are associated with prolonged pregnancy.Especially lowered ER content in placenta is closely related to prolonged pregnancy. |
