Abstract: |
Immunoglobulin A nephropathy (IgAN) is A common glomerular disease. It was previously thought that pregnancy may aggravate the progression of IgAN. In this paper, from the perspectives of hemodynamic changes during pregnancy, changes of hormones and cytokines during pregnancy and the role of T cells in the pathogenesis of IgAN, we review the effects of pregnancy on IgAN. At the same time, combining with current clinical studies, we will demonstrate that pregnancy does not aggravate the progression of IgAN when certain conditions are met. |
