Abstract:
[Objective]To study the effect of compound surfactants on the O/W microemulsion(ME)region, which was guidance for selection the formulation of ME.[Methods]Phospholipid (PC)and Poloxamers 188(F68) were used as compoundsurfactants ,glycerol as cosurfactant, ethyl oleate as oil phase. Prepare the pseud-triangularphase diagrams with different ratio of surfactant/cosurfactant(Km) and F68/PC.Whilefor the PC,glycerol and ethyl oleate system with the same condition. Then, the correspondingarea of O/W ME in both system were compared .The effect of compound surfactantson the O/W ME region was investigated.[Results]The micromulsion region of compound surfactants system was larger than the single surfactant system. In the scope of this study ,thearea of ME region was decrease when the Km>1 or Km<1 , while the area of ME was increase with the increase of the ratio of F68.[Conclusions]The microemulsion region of compound surfactants system is more larger than the single surfactant system. The afflication of compound surfactants is a feasible method with guiding significance for the selection of ME formulation.
