摘要:

早期研究显示降钙素原（procalcitonin，PCT）作为一种炎性标志物,在系统严重感染时被诱导并显示较高水平，而在其他类型炎症中水平很低。随着对PCT起源、生物功能研究及现代检测水平的提高，进一步证实了PCT在感染性疾病早期诊断、病情评估、预后判断、确定治疗方案等方面的应用价值。本文就PCT生物学特性及在临床应用，尤其在呼吸系统感染方面的最新进展作一综述，以帮助临床医师进一步认识这一生物标志物，使其在临床工作中发挥更大的作用。

Abstract:

Procalcitonin (procalcitonin, PCT) as a marker of inflammation, early studies show that it is induced in serious infection in high level, and in other types of inflammation in very low level. Through the research of its origin and biological function, the constant improvement of the level of modern detection, the clinical application of the PCT has been further confirmed. In the early diagnosis, condition assessment, prognosis judgement, treatment programs, PCT provides more reference information for the clinician.This review gives the latest progression about the biological characteristics and clinical application of PCT. The aims is to help clinicians understand the PCT deeply, as to applicate PCT in its maximum potential in clinical work.
